International Relations Analyst (On-site or Remote)
RESPONSIBILITIES & FOCUS
·Conduct in-depth policy analysis and research on contemporary global issues and regional dynamics.
·Produce high-quality written outputs, including reports, policy briefs, and academic articles.
·Monitor and interpret developments in international politics, security, and diplomacy.
·Contribute to collaborative research projects while effectively managing independent remote work.
QUALIFICATIONS
·A Master's degree or PhD in International Relations, Political Science, Public Policy, Diplomacy, Area Studies (e.g., Asian Studies, European Studies), Security Studies, International Political Economy, or a closely related field.
(Note: Significant relevant professional research experience or prior government service may be considered in lieu of the strict degree requirement.)
·Proven expertise and a strong research portfolio in one or more of the following areas: major power relations, international security, multilateral institutions, foreign policy analysis, or cross-border governance challenges.
·Excellent analytical, writing, and editing skills in English. Proficiency in an additional major UN language is a strong asset.
·Ability to work independently in a remote setting, meet deadlines, and collaborate effectively as part of a distributed team.
·Familiarity with qualitative and/or quantitative research methodologies pertinent to the field of International Relations.
